DMC Orlan

DMC Orlan is a mid-season hybrid of sweet corn, developed for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Southern Steppe, Forest Steppe, and Polesie. It has a high yield potential, reaching up to 15 tons per hectare, making it an attractive choice for farmers aiming for high productivity. Plants reach a height of approximately 245 cm, with ears positioned at 110 cm, facilitating harvesting. The hybrid features toothed yellow kernels with 14-16 rows and medium grain drying speed, simplifying subsequent processing and storage.

One of the key features of DMC Orlan is its high resistance to stress factors such as drought, heat, and cold, as well as to major corn diseases including smut and rust. The Stay Green effect preserves green leaves at late growth stages, supporting plant viability under hydrothermal stress and ensuring stable yield formation. The minimum soil temperature for planting is 8-10°C, allowing the hybrid to successfully start growth under various climatic conditions.

DMC Orlan is versatile and suitable for cultivation in different regions of Ukraine with varying yield levels: up to 11.9 t/ha in the Southern Steppe, up to 13.9 t/ha in the Forest Steppe, and up to 14.5 t/ha in Polesie. Thanks to its characteristics, the hybrid ensures high productivity and quality of the harvest, making it a profitable and reliable choice for agrarians focused on sweet corn.
