DMS Sector maize is a mid-season hybrid with a FAO index of 330, developed by the Ukrainian company "Maïs". Plants reach a height of up to 280 centimeters, with ears beginning to form at approximately 120 centimeters. Leaves are inclined, with leaf blade width from 10 to 12 centimeters and a characteristic rounded tip with anthocyanic tinge at the base. Flowering occurs relatively late, and silk emergence may be late or very late. The husk leaves are practically not anthocyanic, while the tassel is dense.
Ears have a conical-cylindrical shape with length from 19 to 22 centimeters. Kernels are toothed, arranged in an average number of rows, colored yellow-orange both on top and bottom. The ear stalk has medium-intensity anthocyanic coloration. The ear stalks are of medium length, facilitating harvesting. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to common maize diseases, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions.
DMS Sector exhibits high yield potential, confirmed by trial results: in 2019 in the Cherkasy region under irrigation conditions, yield reached 177 centners per hectare at base moisture. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, making it a universal choice for agricultural producers. Seed material is available at an affordable price, enabling efficient planning of planting campaigns and achieving high economic returns.
