Maize P8902

Consistent Yields: The Potential of P8902 Hybrid

When selecting corn hybrids for seasons with unpredictable climate patterns, agronomists increasingly prioritize adaptability. The P8902 from Corteva is a simple, dent-grain hybrid that demonstrates high plasticity across varying soil and climatic conditions. It is the preferred choice for operations where yield reliability is paramount, whether for grain production or high-quality silage harvesting.

Agronomic Features and Plant Protection

The key advantage of this hybrid is its comprehensive resistance to pathogens that typically degrade corn quality. P8902 effectively resists common smut and head smut, which simplifies crop protection strategies and minimizes losses during the vegetation period. Its resilience against stem smut is also a notable benefit for field stability.

Practical Planting Recommendations

• Maturation: 120–140 days, allowing for flexible harvest planning tailored to your specific region.
• Seeding Density: To achieve maximum yield potential, it is recommended to maintain a density of 65,000 to 75,000 plants per hectare, with the specific rate adjusted based on local soil moisture levels.

If you are looking for a tool to produce high-quality, high-test-weight grain or are planning for energy-dense silage, this Corteva product is a balanced solution. In real-world field conditions, it provides predictable growth and consistent performance, ensuring a solid return on investment for your seed purchase.
