Maize DM Expenses

Consistency in every field

When selecting the "DM Expensive" maize hybrid from the Institute of Grain Crops of the NAAS, operators and agronomists prioritize predictability. This simple grain-type hybrid requires minimal maintenance while delivering steady results across various Ukrainian agro-ecological zones.

Agronomic resilience

The core feature of "DM Expensive" is its 120–140 day growing season. While this necessitates precise logistics planning, it ensures a high-quality, fully developed grain output. Under field conditions, the plant responds well to standard agronomic practices and possesses sufficient durability to adapt to environmental stressors.

Operational recommendations

• Planting density: The optimal operational rate is 80,000–85,000 plants per hectare. Adhering to this density allows for the full realization of ear potential without excessive competition within the crop stand.
• Harvesting: With a growing period corresponding to FAO 90–1240, this hybrid is a reliable tool for high-yield grain production. Timely harvesting is essential to prevent losses associated with prolonged standing.
• Farming efficiency: As a simple hybrid, "DM Expensive" provides uniform crop height and maturity, which significantly simplifies combine harvester settings and minimizes threshing losses.

This is the ideal choice for farms focused on systematic grain production, where ease of management and clear returns per hectare are key priorities.
