Description DM Duett
DM Duett is a simple interline hybrid of sweet corn of Ukrainian selection, intended for intensive cultivation technologies. Plants are tall, reaching a height of about 270 cm, with ear attachment height of approximately 110 cm. The hybrid has a medium maturation period and belongs to the FAO 320 group, ensuring an optimal combination of yield and resistance to climatic conditions.

DM Duett corn is characterized by high resistance to drought, heat, and cold, as well as high resistance to lodging, making it a reliable choice for various agroclimatic zones, including Southern and Northern Steppes, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. The average yield of the hybrid over test years is 10.6 tons per hectare, with potential up to 13-14 tons. The number of rows per ear varies from 14 to 16, and the grain type is dent, which contributes to good quality and marketability of the harvest.

The recommended plant population before harvest depends on the region: in the Southern Steppe — 40-45 thousand plants per hectare, in the Northern Steppe — 45-50 thousand, in the Forest-Steppe — 55-60 thousand, and in Polissia — 65-70 thousand. The hybrid demonstrates medium intensity of grain drying after physiological maturity and medium initial growth rate, allowing effective planning of agronomic operations and optimization of harvest timing.
