Description DM Dominanta
DM Dominanta is a mid-early hybrid of grain-type sweet corn developed by specialists of the MAIS company from Dnipro. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in all major agro-climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, steppe, and forest-steppe regions. The vegetation period lasts approximately 100–115 days, depending on climatic conditions, temperature, and rainfall. The hybrid demonstrates high adaptability to growing conditions and planting dates, ensuring stable yields and resistance to adverse environmental factors.

DM Dominanta plants reach a height of 214–240 cm at the end of the vegetation period, with ear attachment at a height of 74–89 cm. The ear has a conical-cylindrical shape, with toothed, yellow kernels. Kernel fill is high, including the upper part of the ear. The hybrid exhibits enhanced drought resistance, is not prone to lodging, and is resistant to major corn diseases such as powdery mildew, ear rot, stalk rot, and helminthosporiosis. Additionally, it is tolerant to most pests, including corn borer and other chewing and sucking insects.

DM Dominanta also demonstrates low sensitivity to sharp temperature fluctuations in early growth stages, making it a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality yield under various climatic conditions in Ukraine.
