Maize DM Dominanta

Ukrainian Breeding Excellence

Developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of the NAAS, the "DM Dominanta" hybrid represents the best of Ukrainian breeding, specifically adapted to the intensive cultivation requirements of local agro-climatic conditions. This simple, dent-type hybrid has earned its reputation through consistent field performance, serving as a reliable engine for grain production.

Agronomic Protection and Resilience

The core strength of "DM Dominanta" lies in its 100–110 day maturity cycle paired with robust phytosanitary resistance. Growers prioritize this hybrid to mitigate operational risks against:

• Fungal Pathogens: Including Helminthosporium leaf spot, head smut, and onion stem smut.
• Pest Pressure: It features significant tolerance to the European corn borer, reducing the need for aggressive insecticide intervention.
• Structural Integrity: Strong resistance to stem and root rots ensures minimal lodging, facilitating more efficient harvest operations.

Market Positioning

Positioned as a mid-early maturity hybrid for high-quality grain, "DM Dominanta" fits perfectly into modern farming systems. Its genetics are optimized for efficient moisture uptake during critical growth phases, while the simplicity of the hybrid structure ensures uniformity across the field. This variety is highly regarded by producers who practice both intensive and resource-saving soil management, as it balances high yield potential with the hardiness required for unpredictable weather conditions.
