Maize DM Vnesok

Working with DM Vnesok

For farms looking for a balanced approach between grain production and silage, the "DM Vnesok" variety from the Institute of Grain Crops (NAAS) proves to be a reliable choice. Its 120-140 day growing cycle requires careful planning, but it delivers consistent results that fit well into standard harvesting schedules. It is a workhorse variety designed for the realities of Ukrainian field conditions.

Field Performance and Protection

From an operator's perspective, the primary benefit is the built-in resilience. The variety shows strong resistance to common head smut diseases, which significantly reduces the need for emergency fungicide applications and cuts down operational costs. Another critical factor is its resistance to the European corn borer. Because the stalks remain robust throughout the season, harvest is far more efficient, allowing the combine to operate smoothly and minimizing harvest losses on the field.

Versatility in Use

The strength of "DM Vnesok" lies in its adaptability. It is not demanding regarding exotic soil conditions, responds predictably to standard fertilization programs, and shows stable performance when crop rotation rules are followed. Whether you are aiming for high-quality silage for livestock or marketable grain, this variety provides a stable output that meets professional requirements.

• Maturity: 120–140 days — predictable development schedule.
• Efficiency: natural resistance to major pests reduces chemical application requirements.
• Use case: a truly universal variety for both silage and grain operations.
