Kochia JANJAR

Origin and Selection

The 'Dzhangar' variety is a product of professional selection from the Chernozemelskaya Experimental Station. Developed to thrive in challenging environments, this Kochia scoparia variety is renowned for its resilience and predictable performance. Unlike wild-type plants, 'Dzhangar' offers a uniform habit and a distinct color transition, making it a staple for landscape architecture in regions with varying climate conditions.

Visual Profile and Landscape Impact

Often referred to as the "summer cypress," 'Dzhangar' is prized for its ability to mimic the aesthetics of coniferous plants while providing the flexibility of an annual. Throughout the growing season, the foliage transitions from a lush, vibrant green to a striking, deep red. This seasonal change provides gardeners and designers with a powerful tool for visual storytelling, as the plant acts as a backdrop in summer and a focal point in autumn.

Reputation and Professional Use

The variety is highly regarded for its adaptability in urban and private landscape projects. Key benefits include:

• Excellent tolerance to drought and thermal fluctuations.
• High responsiveness to shearing, allowing for precise topiary work.
• Strong structural integrity, making it ideal for formal hedging and borders.

For designers, 'Dzhangar' is a reliable, high-performance plant that offers consistent results. Whether used in modern minimalist designs or traditional garden layouts, this variety maintains its form and ornamental appeal with minimal maintenance, earning its place as a classic choice for professional landscaping.
