Kochia ELISTA is a compact shrub about 50 cm tall, which quickly gains height and maintains a neat rounded shape. The leaves have a rich emerald green hue, and in the autumn period turn red, giving the plant decorativeness throughout the season.
This kochia is perfect for use as a focal plant in flower beds and living hedges of any configuration. It prefers sunny areas with moderately moist, fertile soils, yet easily withstands regular trimming without losing its decorative qualities.
The ELISTA variety seeds are photosensitive: they need light to germinate, so they should simply be pressed into the soil, not covered with it. Sowing can be done for seedlings in April, after which the plant develops rapidly and provides high yield of green mass.
