Chicory Myrna

The Myrna chicory variety is a mid-season leafy type Frise, characterized by beautiful large rosettes with dark green, wavy-edged leaves and a yellow-green center. The vegetation period of this variety is 60-65 days, allowing it to be grown during summer and autumn. Myrna is suitable for direct sowing in open ground or through seedlings, showing equally high yields under various growing conditions.

This chicory variety was developed by Dutch breeders Enza Zaden and is distinguished by its low maintenance requirements, resistance to sudden changes in temperature, heat, bolting, and leaf edge burn. Due to these qualities, Myrna tolerates hot weather well and is suitable for organic farming. The plant's rosettes are raised, facilitating harvest and making the variety high-yielding.

Myrna is widely used in home cooking, both fresh and cooked. Its excellent taste and attractive appearance make this variety popular on fresh markets. Additionally, the variety is excellent for processing, expanding its applications in the food industry.
