Description PALA ROSSA
Endive 'Pala Rossa' – a mid-season variety with dense dark-red heads adorned with whitish veins. The skin is thin and elastic, while the inner part is soft, making the product especially pleasant to eat fresh. One head can weigh up to 450 g, maintaining a characteristic spicy flavor with a slight sweetness and a barely perceptible heat.

The 'Pala Rossa' culture is distinguished by its ease of cultivation: seeds can be sown in April–June on sunny plots with loose, fertilized soil. Planting depth is 5 cm, and the distance between plants is 10 cm. It requires moderate watering and moist soil, yet it withstands frosts well and is resistant to various diseases. The variety is suitable for hardiness zones 7–8, and the vegetation period is 75–85 days from sowing to technical maturity.

Heads can be consumed fresh – in salads and appetizers, as well as after boiling or stewing. Thanks to their structure, they are perfect for dietary food: low-calorie, rich in fiber and vitamins. 'Pala Rossa' keeps well for a long time and is easy to transport, making it in demand both for home use and for the market.
