GELSEMINO

GELSEMINO – a mid-season chicory variety characterized by narrow, elongated leaves resembling lettuce but with a more pronounced bitterness due to high inulin content. The leaves are green without anthocyanin coloring, slightly crinkled, about 20 cm tall and 26 cm in diameter, with a white central vein. The average plant weight is approximately 65 grams.

This variety is intended for the consumption of young basal leaves fresh: in salads, as an accompaniment to sandwiches or main dishes. Due to the high content of biologically active substances and vitamins, chicory microgreens from this variety become a valuable ingredient for diversifying the diet, adding dishes a rich flavor and beneficial properties.

Yield of green leaves reaches 2.6 kg/m², making GELSEMINO attractive both for home growing and commercial production. Chicory microgreens grow easily without the use of chemical stimulants, remaining an ecologically clean source of microelements and vitamins.
