ORLOVSKAYA KRASNOZERNAYA

The "Orlovskaya Krasnozernaya" lentil variety belongs to early-maturing crops with a vegetative period of 71 to 89 days. Plants reach a height of 32–54 cm, leaves have an elongated-oval shape, and medium-sized flowers are white with a bluish vein on the sail, usually arranged in pairs in the inflorescence. Seeds are medium-sized, convex, pink with a greenish tint, without a pattern, and seed leaves are colored orange-red.

The variety is characterized by high yield: average production in the Oryol region is 22.5 t/ha, which is 4.9 t/ha higher than the regional average. Maximum yield is 28.9 t/ha, recorded in the Lipetsk region in 2015. Mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 42 to 50 g, protein content reaches 29%, which makes the product valuable from a culinary evaluation point of view.

"Orlovskaya Krasnozernaya" possesses resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought at the level of standards. Seeds are characterized by good cookability and excellent technological properties, as well as high seed quality compared to the standard. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Oryol region and is included in the state register of the Central Black Earth region.
