Lentil variety "Darinka" is a high-protein crop grown primarily on chernozem soils with a light mechanical structure and a pH of about 7.0. For optimal growth, deep seed sowing is recommended to a depth of 5–6 cm, and up to 6–7 cm when the topsoil layer dries out. The optimal planting density ranges from 1.8 to 2.2 million plants per hectare.
When cultivating the "Darinka" variety, it is important to follow a comprehensive set of measures to protect against fungal and bacterial diseases: before sowing, the grain should be treated with preparations for leguminous crops two to three weeks in advance. Additionally, mineral fertilizers (N15P15K15, N10P40K55, N30P30K30 kg/ha) and micro-additives should be applied, and seeds should be inoculated using rhizogumins to improve germination.
Harvesting usually begins in the second half of July and continues until the first decade of August, when the pods turn brown. After harvest, the grain should be stored at a moisture content of about 14%. This approach ensures the preservation of seed quality and their suitability for subsequent sowing.
