RAOUZA

The "RAOUZA" lentil variety is a mid-season and high-quality type, successfully cultivated in all regions of Russia due to its inclusion in the state register of breeding achievements. Plants reach heights of 48–57 cm, have elongated-oval leaflets with entire margins and white flowers with a bluish vein, two to three on each inflorescence. Pods of this variety are usually single- or two-seeded, rhombic in shape with a pointed tip, and seeds are large, round-flat, smooth, and colored yellow-green with a light pattern.

The key characteristics of "RAOUZA" are high yield and excellent protein content. In the Oryol region, the average yield is about 2.1 t/ha, and the maximum – 2.8 t/ha, which exceeds the standard indicator of the Petrovskaya 4/105 variety by 0.4–0.5 t/ha. The mass of 1000 seeds is in the range of 57–60 g, with protein content of about 28%. The variety demonstrates stability to lodging, shattering, and drought at the level of the standard, and also shows no signs of disease and pest damage over the years of testing.

"RAOUZA" is characterized by a medium vegetation period of 85–86 days and is perfect for both producing large grains and culinary purposes. The commercial and culinary qualities of the variety are considered excellent: seeds retain their shape during boiling, have a soft skin, and a pleasant siliceous taste, making them ideal for soups, salads, and other dishes. Due to its characteristics, "RAOUZA" is a valuable choice for both farmers and consumers looking for high-quality lentils with high protein content and reliable yield.
