Celery of the Atlant variety is a medium-maturing domestic stalk celery variety with a vegetation period of 150 to 170 days. The leaf rosette of this variety is upright and powerful, reaching a height of 40-45 cm and a diameter of 45-53 cm. The leaves are large, dark green with a strong gloss, while the stalks are of medium size, green, juicy and fleshy, with relief veins and good aroma. The mass of stalks from one plant ranges from 300 to 400 grams, and the yield reaches 2.8-3.3 kg per square meter.
Celery Atlant is widely used in cuisine due to its taste qualities and versatility. The stalks are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for preparing salads, soups, side dishes for meat and fish, stewing and pickling. In addition, they can be used as a spice in a dried form. A feature of the variety is that the stalks do not require bleaching, which simplifies the growing and preparation process.
For growing the Atlant variety, it is recommended to sow seedlings in mid-March to early April, followed by transplanting into the ground in the 5-6 leaf stage in late May to early June, according to a 35x45 cm scheme. The plant responds well to fertilization with manure, ash, and complex fertilizers, and care includes loosening, mulching, and regular watering. Systematic consumption of Atlant celery stalks contributes to overall health due to the high content of vitamins, mineral salts, fiber, and low calorie content.
