Eggplant WINNIE THE POOH

Stability and Compactness: The Vinni Pukh Eggplant

In the seed market, the products of the Gavrish agricultural company have long carved out a niche, offering gardeners varieties adapted to challenging climatic conditions. The 'Vinni Pukh' (Winnie the Pooh) eggplant is a prime example of breeding work aimed at creating a low-maintenance, compact plant that thrives equally well under greenhouse covers and in open ground beds.

Agronomy and Biological Features

The efforts of breeders Dmitry Gladkov and Anna Semyonova have resulted in a variety that minimizes risks for the home grower. Key characteristics of 'Vinni Pukh' include:

• Maturation Period: Technical ripeness is reached 50–60 days after transplanting, making it an excellent choice for regions with a short warm season.
• Fruit Parameters: Neat, oval-shaped eggplants weighing 100–200 grams feature a classic dark purple color.
• Versatility: Flexibility in cultivation methods allows for planting based on the existing infrastructure of the plot.

The small size of the fruits makes this variety a favorite for home cooking. These eggplants are easy to stuff, ideal for whole canning, and perfect for classic vegetable appetizers. The compact nature of the bush also allows for efficient use of space in greenhouses, where every square meter counts.

Why Choose This Variety?

The reputation of the Gavrish brand is built on predictable results. By choosing 'Vinni Pukh', the grower acquires seed material that has stood the test of time. A low tendency for the fruit to overgrow, provided harvest times are observed, makes maintenance significantly easier. This is a reliable, “workhorse” variety that guarantees a commercial appearance and consistent flavor without the need for complex agrotechnical requirements.
