NYANS

The 'NYANS' carrot variety is a mid-season, high-yield variety characterized by its high carotene content. The roots have a smooth cylindrical shape with a thickening and blunt tip, reaching a length of about 20 cm and a diameter of up to 4 cm, with a single root mass of 110-120 g. The flesh and core are bright orange, offering a very sweet and pleasant taste. Yield varies from 4.2 to 6.4 kg per square meter. Thanks to its dense structure, the carrot withstands transportation well and is resistant to diseases. This variety is excellent for both fresh consumption and culinary processing. For successful cultivation, choose sunny plots with loose soil. The optimal sowing time is late April, May, or even June, provided the average daily air temperature reaches +15°C and the soil warms up to +8°C. Soil preparation includes autumn fertilization with manure or ash and spring loosening. Seeds are best soaked before sowing, then sown in furrows with a distance between seeds of 5-10 cm. After germination, regular care is required, including soil loosening and thinning beds to ensure optimal space for root growth. To protect carrots from pests and improve growing conditions, weeding and removal of foliage are recommended. It is also useful to plant carrots next to onions, which helps repel pests. Thanks to its characteristics and proper care, the 'NYANS' variety allows obtaining a quality and tasty harvest suitable for both fresh consumption and cooking various dishes.
