SUGAR QUEEN

Sugar Queen is a mid-late carrot variety belonging to the Flakke type, with a maturation period of 95 to 125 days depending on growing conditions. The roots have an elongated-conical or cylindrical shape with a blunt tip, measuring 13 to 17 cm in length and weighing 80 to 250 g. The roots have a rich orange-red color both outside and inside, indicating a high carrotene content. The flesh is characterized by a sweet, juicy, and tender taste, making this variety particularly attractive for fresh consumption and culinary processing.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 5-6 kg per square meter, and resistance to problems such as root cracking and bolting. Thanks to good storability and the ability to long-term storage, Sugar Queen carrots are suitable for winter storage and transportation. In addition, the variety is characterized by a reduced ability to accumulate nitrates, making it safe and suitable for the production of baby food.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to ensure regular watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding for the plants. Sowing can be done both under winter and early spring, into open ground or under film. The variety is excellent for growing in the summer-autumn period, providing a stable and quality harvest with excellent taste and nutritional characteristics.
