Description Norway
Carrot Norway F1 — a late-maturing hybrid of the Nantes type, developed by breeders of the Bejo Zaden company from the Netherlands. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected ground, adapted to various climatic conditions. The vegetation period is approximately 130 days from sowing to full maturity. It is recommended to plant carrots in light, loose soils with controlled moisture levels and application of mineral or complex fertilizers to achieve maximum yield, which can reach 4 to 5.5 kg per square meter.

The carrots of Norway have a cylindrical shape, are long, even, and smooth, with a small core. The weight of one fruit varies from 100 to 200 grams. The color is rich dark-orange, indicating high levels of carotene and vitamins of groups B and A. The flesh contains approximately 7.7–7.9% sugar and 12.1% dry matter, providing a pleasant sweet taste and high nutritional value. Thanks to these characteristics, carrots are suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and culinary use.

The Norway hybrid is highly resistant to major diseases such as cercosporosis, black rot, and spotting, and possesses a strong leafy canopy. The roots retain their market quality after washing and polishing, making them suitable for mechanical harvesting and long-term storage — up to 4–5 months without loss of flavor or nutritional properties. The recommended seeding rate is 1.0 to 1.6 million seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal planting density and active growth even in dense conditions.
