CARRUBA

Carrot CARRUBA is a medium-early hybrid of the Nantes type, developed by the Dutch breeding company Seminis. The maturity period is approximately 100-105 days after germination. This hybrid is characterized by high yield and stability under various growing conditions, as well as resistance to rot and Alternaria. The foliage is strong, dark green, and tightly attached to the root, facilitating mechanical harvesting.

The carrots of CARRUBA have a cylindrical, slightly conical shape, measuring 18-21 cm in length and 2.5-3.5 cm in diameter. The surface of the roots is very smooth, which facilitates washing and enhances market appearance. The color is vivid orange, with a juicy, crisp core rich in sugar (6-6.3%), carotene, vitamins, and microelements. Thanks to these qualities, the carrot has an excellent aroma and superior taste.

CARRUBA carrot is versatile in application: it is recommended for fresh consumption, processing, freezing, juice, puree, and canning. The harvest retains freshness and appeal for 4-6 months with proper storage. For early harvest, a seeding rate of 0.8-1.0 million seeds per hectare is recommended, while for processing and long-term storage, 1.2-1.3 million seeds per hectare is advised. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various soil and climatic conditions, making it a promising choice for farmers.
