Carrot Emperor

Why "Imperator" is a Professional Choice for Long-term Storage

The "Imperator" carrot variety from Agrofirma Poisk earns its name through its impressive performance as a winter staple. Unlike early-season varieties, this crop is designed specifically for growers who need to supply the market well into spring. With a growing period of 120–130 days, this variety achieves the density and internal structure required for excellent post-harvest longevity.

Crop Geometry and Market Appeal

Visually, "Imperator" stands out due to its classic conical shape and significant length, ranging from 25 to 30 cm. With an average weight of 80–100 grams, these carrots are ideally sized for retail packaging. The deep orange flesh is rich in carotene, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and nutritional value.

• Shelf Life: The standout feature is its remarkable storage capacity of 8–9 months. This makes it a preferred choice for producers who aim to sell their inventory during the off-season.
• Agronomic Requirements: Due to the length of the roots, deep and well-aerated soil is essential to ensure perfectly straight growth. On heavy, compacted soils, the roots may deform, so proper land preparation is key to unlocking the variety's full potential.
• Use Case: This is an ideal variety for large-scale operations and storage facilities. Its dense texture ensures it remains crisp and marketable long after other varieties have lost their quality.

Who Should Choose Imperator?

If you prioritize yield stability and the ability to minimize post-harvest losses, the "Imperator" variety is a reliable partner. It requires professional agricultural management to reach its full length, but the reward is a high-quality product that commands a premium price when fresh market supplies are at their lowest in the spring.
