Description Olympus
Carrot variety Olympus is a late-maturing, high-yielding type Flakke variety developed by Czech breeders. The root has a conical or spindle shape, 20 to 26 cm long, with a blunt or slightly pointed tip slightly protruding above the soil surface. The weight of one fruit ranges from 74 to 130 grams. The root and core color is rich dark orange, with the core contrasting against the red-orange skin. The carrot head is convex and does not turn green, enhancing its market appearance and appeal.

Olympus variety is characterized by good storability and resistance to cracking, making it ideal for storage and processing. The vegetation period is 160-170 days, allowing for a stable yield with proper care. The carrot is well-suited for ridge cultivation and mechanized harvesting, simplifying agricultural processes.

For successful cultivation, use loose soil with adequate moisture, as the variety prefers humidity. Fresh organic fertilizers are not recommended. The Olympus carrot variety is resistant to carrot fly infestation at a level not exceeding other varieties, contributing to maintaining yield quality.
