Autumn Queen — a late-maturing carrot variety with a maturation period of 125 to 135 days, ideal for cultivation in regions with unstable weather conditions. This variety is highly resistant to light frosts down to -4 degrees Celsius, although prolonged cold can slow plant growth. Carrots prefer sunny areas with fertile, non-exhausted soil and grow well after predecessors such as potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, and cereal crops. Timely moderate watering is essential for high yields and to prevent cracking of roots, which also affects flavor and market quality. The roots of the Autumn Queen variety are cylindrical with a slight conical taper at the bottom, measuring 20 to 25 cm in length and about 5 cm in diameter. They have a rich orange color, smooth surface without lateral roots, and do not turn green at the top, maintaining their attractive appearance. The weight of one root reaches approximately 220 grams. The flesh and core of the carrots are tender, juicy, and sweet, with high carotene content, giving the vegetable exceptional nutritional value and rich flavor. The variety is resistant to cracking, facilitating storage and transport. Autumn Queen is versatile: its roots are suitable for fresh consumption, making juices, salads, and hot dishes, as well as for processing and long-term storage. Under proper storage conditions in a cool place, carrots retain their quality until the next harvest, making this variety especially valuable for long-term use. High yield allows harvesting up to 9 kg per square meter, making it profitable for cultivation in both home and commercial settings.
