Carrot Presto F1

Consistency and Precision: Why Growers Trust Presto F1

French breeding from Vilmorin-Mikado consistently sets the bar for Nantes-type carrots, and the Presto F1 hybrid is a prime example of high-performance genetics. Designed for professional operations, this hybrid combines yield efficiency with the visual consistency required for modern retail supply chains.

Key Advantages

• Strategic Maturity: A harvest window of 80–90 days allows for precise crop scheduling, enabling growers to hit market windows with confidence.
• Superior Morphology: With a cylindrical shape, 17–20 cm length, and vibrant orange color, Presto F1 produces a uniform product weighing 150–200g, ideal for both fresh market packaging and industrial processing.
• Operational Versatility: Whether you are targeting early bunching market or utilizing film-covered production, this hybrid offers the adaptability needed for intensive farming.

Agronomic Best Practices

For maximum performance, the manufacturer recommends a plant density of 0.8–1.0 million plants per hectare. This density ensures that roots develop evenly without competing for space or nutrients. The genetic profile of the Vilmorin-Mikado selection provides robust tolerance to common pathogens, reducing the dependency on intensive fungicide programs.

Expert Insight

If you are looking for a reliable market performer, Presto F1 is a strong candidate. Compared to standard varieties, this hybrid is significantly less prone to 'green shoulders' and shows excellent uniformity, which facilitates easier mechanical harvesting and drastically reduces waste during post-harvest sorting.
