Mustang carrot is a mid-season hybrid with a maturation period of 100 to 120 days from seedling emergence to harvest. This variety belongs to the Berlukum/Nantes type and is characterized by a semi-upright leaf rosette. The roots have a cylindrical shape with a slight tapering at the base and a blunt tip, measuring 17 to 19 cm in length and weighing between 180 to 210 grams. The roots are rich orange in color, with a small orange core, indicating a high vitamin A content.
Mustang is distinguished by large, juicy, and sweet roots that are fully embedded in the soil, which contributes to their quality formation. The hybrid demonstrates stable and high marketable yield, reaching up to 70 tons per hectare. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is excellent for early bundle production when sown in early spring.
One of the significant advantages of the Mustang variety is its ability to store for a long time, which allows maintaining the quality and taste properties of the roots for an extended period. This makes the carrot versatile both for fresh consumption and for storage and further use in cooking.
