Cabbage Vertex

A Reliable Choice for Professional Growers

The Vertex white cabbage hybrid by Takii Europe B.V. represents a perfect blend of Dutch breeding expertise and modern market requirements. Developed to bridge the gap between ease of cultivation and high-end market standards, this hybrid has become a staple for farmers focusing on productivity and crop consistency in unpredictable growing conditions.

Genetic Resilience and Disease Control

The standout feature of Vertex is its robust defense system. Specifically bred to withstand common soil-borne and foliar diseases, this hybrid offers excellent resistance to Fusarium yellows and bacteriosis. This genetic integrity ensures that crops remain healthy throughout the growing season, reducing the need for intensive chemical applications and securing a higher percentage of marketable heads.

The medium head size (1.0–2.0 kg) is a significant advantage in modern retail, where consumers increasingly prefer smaller, convenient, and easy-to-handle portions. The density of the heads ensures excellent shelf life and durability during transport, which is essential for supply chains spanning long distances. Moreover, the dual-purpose nature of Vertex allows producers to pivot between fresh produce outlets and processing sectors without compromising on yield quality.

Choosing a hybrid from Takii Europe B.V. means investing in long-term reliability. Vertex is designed for professional farming operations that require a balance between a shorter growing cycle and superior protection against key field diseases. It is a predictable and high-performing variety that continues to uphold the reputation of Dutch agricultural innovation.
