Greenflower 90 buckwheat variety was developed by family-group selection from material obtained through combined processing of seeds of the green-flowered gamma-ray and chemical mutagen mutant. This variety has been officially approved since 1995 and is classified as medium-late, with a vegetative period ranging from 89 to 104 days. Plants reach a height of 95–115 cm, have 9–12 nodes on the stem, and produce 2–4 branches, of which 2–3 are first-order. A distinctive feature of this variety is its green flowers and buds of various shades, often forming complex, branched inflorescences. The fruits are medium-sized with weakly expressed light-brown wings featuring a pattern. The 1000-seed mass ranges from 23–28 g, uniformity from 73–80%, and the grain yield reaches 72.8%. The variety has good taste qualities and high resistance to grain shattering and lodging, and is well visited by bees. Greenflower 90 is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia region and is suitable for sowing on light and medium soils. Early sowing is required to achieve maximum yield. Due to its resistance to adverse conditions and diseases, including phytophthora and powdery mildew, it ensures stable yields under various climatic conditions.
