Buckwheat Greenflower 90

Stable yields with "Zelenokvitkova 90"

The "Zelenokvitkova 90" buckwheat variety from Podillia State University (Podilskyi DATU) is a prime example of targeted selection aimed at field performance. In modern agriculture, where the cost of errors in seed selection is rising, this variety offers a perfect balance between a short vegetation cycle and high stress tolerance.

Key advantages

• Disease resistance: High resistance to late blight, combined with protection against powdery mildew, helps reduce the costs of fungicide applications—critical for farms aiming to lower pesticide pressure.
• Lodging resistance: At a height of 90–100 cm, buckwheat is often prone to yield loss due to weather conditions. Podillia State University’s breeding ensures a sturdy stem, allowing for mechanized harvesting with minimal grain losses.
• Early maturity: The 80–90 day vegetation period makes this variety a versatile tool for crop rotation optimization, allowing for predictable harvesting schedules even in regions with variable climatic conditions.

"Zelenokvitkova 90" is the choice of farmers who prioritize predictability. The variety avoids excessive vegetative growth, concentrating the plant's energy on grain formation. It is optimal for farms practicing intensive technologies, as well as for growers operating in areas where late blight poses a significant threat to profitability.
