Description Mallow
The buckwheat variety 'Mallow' was developed by the Institute of Agriculture of NAAN of Ukraine and registered in 2015. This mid-season variety is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone and is characterized by high adaptability to various climatic conditions. The vegetation period ranges from 75 to 83 days, allowing effective planning of spring sowing.

The 'Mallow' variety is characterized by high grain yield, reaching 20.1 to 36.0 centners per hectare under production conditions. It is resistant to lodging and has a high photosynthetic potential, which contributes to stable yield formation. The grain quality is rated as premium: hull content is 21-22%, grain uniformity ranges from 87.3-94.5%, and the milling yield reaches 75.0-77.0%.

The cultivation technology for the 'Mallow' variety is standard and well-established. Optimal sowing dates are from the third decade of April to the first decade of May. The seeding rate for wide-row planting is 65 kg/ha, and for solid planting, it ranges from 90 to 100 kg/ha. Due to its characteristics and resistance to diseases, the 'Mallow' variety is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality and high-yield buckwheat.
