Buckwheat Mallow

Stability and Yield Potential

The 'Malva' buckwheat variety is a result of extensive breeding work by the National Scientific Center 'Institute of Agriculture of NAAS'. This variety holds a prominent place in Ukrainian selection, offering farmers a balanced combination of early maturity and technological efficiency. Amidst Ukraine’s shifting climate, 'Malva' demonstrates a remarkable adaptability, making it a dependable choice for farms focusing on consistent performance.

Agronomic Profile

A key feature of 'Malva' is its 70-80 day vegetation period. This growth dynamic allows for efficient utilization of spring-summer moisture and facilitates harvesting within optimal agronomic timeframes. A major factor driving profitability is its high resistance to lodging. In field conditions, this minimizes harvesting losses during mechanical operations and preserves grain quality—factors essential for downstream processing.

• Origin: National Ukrainian breeding school.
• Technology: High lodging resistance significantly reduces production risks.
• Maturity: A 70-80 day cycle enables flexible crop rotation planning.

The reputation of this variety among Ukrainian growers is built on its ability to maintain productivity even under intensive farming practices. 'Malva' consistently delivers strong metrics regarding grain quality and mill yield, which is highly regarded by processing facilities. By selecting this variety, producers are investing in proven domestic genetics, specifically adapted to local soil and climatic conditions.
