Gloria buckwheat is a high-quality seed material widely used both for grain cultivation and as a green manure. This variety features a strong root system penetrating up to 32-37 cm, effectively suppressing weed growth and improving soil structure. During its growth, buckwheat releases valuable organic acids such as citric and formic, aiding in the uptake of complex phosphates and normalizing soil microflora, especially after intensive cereal cultivation. Gloria buckwheat adapts well to various soil types, including heavy and saline soils, and has a short growing period — 70 to 75 days for full maturity. Due to its properties, it is widely used in gardens and vineyards, where it helps retain soil moisture and attracts bees with its abundant flowering. After mowing, plant residues decompose quickly, enriching the soil with nitrogen and potassium, which enhances fertility and yield of subsequent crops. Using Gloria buckwheat as a green manure significantly improves soil biological activity, suppresses weed growth, and protects soil surface from overheating and cracking. Regular application of Gloria buckwheat green manure increases crop yields by 50% and restores fertile layers even on exhausted and nutrient-poor soils. "Gloria" seed production facility has been cultivating this variety since 2003 in the Cherkasy region, offering high-quality seed for agricultural production.
