Buckwheat Kyivs'ka

Field Stability: Breeding Excellence from the Institute of Agriculture

The "Kyivska" variety is a product of fundamental breeding by the NSC "Institute of Agriculture of NAAS". It serves as a classic example of a crop tailored to the moderate climatic conditions of Ukraine, where the key to success is not only yield potential but also the plant's resilience against unpredictable weather fluctuations during the second half of summer.

Agronomic Profile and Key Features

Unlike early-maturing hybrids that require intensive nutrition, "Kyivska" exhibits a more measured growth cycle. This annual plant is valued by farmers for the uniformity of its stands. The variety’s primary advantage is its resistance to grain shedding during maturation, allowing agronomists to optimize harvest timing without facing critical crop losses.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Strengths: High threshing efficiency, consistent grain quality, and strong adaptability to the soil and climatic conditions of Northern and Central Ukraine. The variety responds well to micronutrient application.
• Weaknesses: Requires adherence to crop rotation protocols and is not a "record-breaker" under conditions of extreme drought in the south. Compared to some intensive modern hybrids, it may have a lower maximum yield ceiling, but it offers far superior result reliability.

This variety is optimal for farms that follow classic cultivation technologies and prioritize predictable economic outcomes. "Kyivska" is a professional choice for those who need to minimize risks during volatile growing seasons.
