Description Podil'ska
Podil'ska — this is a buckwheat variety with great agricultural significance and widely cultivated in Ukraine, especially in the Polissia and Forest-steppe regions. This crop is valuable both as a cereal and as a honey plant, making it important for agriculture and beekeeping. The buckwheat cultivation technology is almost waste-free, which promotes efficient resource use and environmental preservation.

The Podil'ska variety is characterized by high disease resistance, stable and high yield, which can reach 30–38.5 c/ha under intensive technologies. The plant has a powerful root system, enabling effective use of soil resources, and a strong upright stem ensures resistance to lodging. The protein content in the grain is 12–15%, making the porridge from this buckwheat fluffy and tasty. The 1000-grain weight ranges from 23–28 g, and the grain extraction rate is 69–74%.

Podil'ska buckwheat has high adaptability to various soils and climatic conditions, allowing its cultivation even in intercropping systems. It is also valuable for beekeeping, as it produces high-quality buckwheat honey. The plants reach a height of 70–100 cm, and the maturity period is 75–85 days. Additionally, this variety is characterized by good transportability and a long storage life, making it convenient for commercial use.
