Bluegrass Siretskyi 27

A Ukrainian Standard for Lawn Turf

"Syretskyi 27" is the product of long-term breeding by experts at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, specifically designed to withstand the climatic challenges of Ukraine. This variety of Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) is adapted to local soil conditions, setting it apart from imported cultivars that often struggle with temperature fluctuations and prolonged dry spells.

Key Advantages

• High Winter Hardiness: The variety remains resilient after harsh winters, maintaining optimal turf density.
• Adaptability: Thrives in both full sun and partial shade, making it versatile for various landscape designs.
• Regeneration Speed: Thanks to a robust root system, it actively fills in bare spots, creating a thick sod without becoming overly invasive.

Primarily intended for decorative park-style lawns and urban landscaping, "Syretskyi 27" features a balanced growth rate. Unlike high-maintenance sports mixtures that require constant mowing, this variety offers a more manageable growth cycle while maintaining aesthetic appeal.

Practical Considerations

Like most bluegrass varieties, "Syretskyi 27" requires patience during the germination phase, as early development is somewhat slow. Ensuring regular watering during the first season is essential for establishing a high-quality stand. This variety is an ideal choice for those prioritizing durability and long-term, low-maintenance performance over immediate, high-input decorative effects.
