Description Lily
Timothy grass – a perennial grass culture distinguished by dense and even coverage, resistance to mechanical damage, and high frost hardiness. It quickly recovers vegetatively after mowing, making it an ideal choice for sports fields, children's play areas, and park lawns. In the first year, the seeds develop a root system, while full leaf growth appears in the second season, providing a dense carpet up to 15–20 cm high.

For planting Timothy grass, it is recommended to use dense sowing: from 200 to 300 kg per hectare (2–3 kg per centner). Seeds should be soaked for about 22 hours beforehand and then sown in prepared soil, cleared of weeds, leveled, and loosened. After germination, regular watering is necessary, especially during drought, and the first mowing should be carried out when the grass height reaches 7–10 cm.

Timothy grass easily combines with other lawn grasses (pasture ryegrass, red fescue, white clover), forming stable and decorative mixtures. Thanks to its strong root system, it can grow in one place for up to 15–20 years, and its soft texture makes the lawn pleasant for walking and games. Combined with proper care, Timothy grass provides a durable, green carpet even in cold months.
