Bluegrass Lily

A robust choice for professional sports and ornamental lawns

"Lily" Kentucky Bluegrass from the German breeder Euro Grass Breeding KG is a high-performance solution for establishing dense, wear-tolerant turf. Bred in Germany, this cultivar is engineered to withstand heavy foot traffic and environmental stress, making it an ideal candidate for both residential lawns and high-impact sports fields.

Key performance characteristics

• Superior Disease Resistance: The cultivar exhibits excellent natural resistance to powdery mildew, ensuring a cleaner look and reducing the need for fungicide treatments even in humid conditions.
• Quick Recovery: The growth habit of "Lily" creates a dense sod that recovers rapidly from mechanical wear, maintaining structural integrity throughout the playing season.
• Broad Application: It is a versatile choice for turf mixes designed for both recreational use and professional landscaping projects.

Sowing and Management

To achieve the best results in terms of density and color uniformity, a seeding rate of 25-30 g/m² is recommended. This rate promotes deep root development and helps suppress weed infiltration from the very first season. When using Euro Grass Breeding KG genetics, growers can expect reliable germination and high purity, which are critical for establishing long-lasting turf. Ensure consistent moisture during the initial establishment phase to allow the seedlings to fully colonize the area.
