Description Fescue
Fescue is a perennial grass widely used for creating lawns on sports fields and in park areas due to its dense cover and strong root system. In the first year, seeds develop roots, while a full green carpet appears by the second season, making it an ideal choice for those ready to invest in long-term coverage. Thanks to its high frost resistance and drought tolerance, fescue retains its color vibrancy even under unfavorable climatic conditions.

To achieve a dense and strong cover, proper soil preparation is crucial: removing weeds, leveling the surface, and adding sand or lime to improve soil structure. After preparation, seeds can be sown pure or mixed with other lawn grasses – perennial ryegrass, red fescue, and white clover. Optimal sowing density ensures the development of a strong root network, which increases resistance to mechanical damage and reduces the need for frequent watering.

Care for a fescue lawn is simple: regular watering supports growth during the summer period, while mowing at a height of 4–5 cm allows maintaining a dense carpet without excessive stress for the plants. Thanks to its durability, fescue can last in one place for up to 15–20 years, making it an economically viable solution for creating a sustainable and beautiful lawn.
