Sombrero

The meadow fescue variety «Sombbrero» is a high-quality seed produced by the Danish company DLF and complies with GOST R 52325‑2005. Seeds are packed in 25 kg bags (packaging from 1 to 20 kg is available) and are calculated for a seeding rate of 2 kg of seeds per 100 m², ensuring a dense and uniform lawn. The plant color is dark-green, and the cutting density creates a «green carpet» effect, suitable for both sports fields and decorative greening of gardens and parks.

Meadow fescue «Sombbrero» is distinguished by high resistance to transplanting, regular mowing, and moderate drought. It grows well on sunny areas and in well-lit places, and withstands multi-year usage conditions – from lawns to football stadiums and rolled turf. Plant height reaches 15 cm, growth is slow, but with a good root system, which ensures landscape durability.

Seeds are characterized by a germination rate of about 96% and purity of 97%. To achieve dense seeding, it is recommended to use a rate from 200 to 300 kg/ha (2–3 kg/centner). Thanks to frost resistance and drought resistance, meadow fescue «Sombbrero» is suitable for creating lawns in various climatic conditions. It is also widely used on pastures and in active recreation zones where a strong and durable grass surface is required.
