Blueberry BB008

Technical Profile of the BB008 Hybrid by Frutek

The breeding program managed by Oleksandr Yareschenko and implemented through the Frutek platform focuses on creating cultivars capable of maintaining stable productivity in professional agricultural settings. The BB008 hybrid represents a specialized selection designed for high-intensity cultivation, where output predictability is the primary metric of success.

Edaphic Requirements and pH Management

The operational foundation for BB008 is strict adherence to soil acidity levels. To ensure optimal nutrient uptake and root system health, the pH must be maintained within the 4.0–5.0 range. In industrial cultivation, any drift outside this window causes immediate metabolic stress and micronutrient deficiencies, which directly impact the final yield and fruit quality.

Sunlight Requirements and Site Selection

Site optimization is non-negotiable for BB008. The hybrid exhibits peak performance in terms of sugar accumulation and fruit weight only when placed in fully exposed, sunlit areas. Direct solar radiation is a prerequisite for robust photosynthesis and successful flower bud differentiation for the following season. Shading must be strictly avoided to prevent delays in fruit maturation and loss of berry firmness.

Industrial Utility

BB008 has been developed with standardized agricultural procedures in mind. Its genetic profile facilitates easier integration into mechanized harvesting cycles, where uniformity in ripening and fruit integrity are essential. By choosing this hybrid from Frutek, growers gain access to a cultivar that rewards precise agrotechnical control with consistent commercial results.
