The plant is upright, growing 30 to 60 cm tall, with a semi-upright rosette that produces a large number of medium-sized leaves. The leaves are egg-shaped or elliptical, with a weakly blistered surface and wavy edges featuring rare indentations. The flowers of this variety are pink-lilac-white, and the clove scent gives the basil a special spiciness and fragrance richness. The Shuntuk variety is well-suited for cultivation both in protected ground and in open, sunny, windless areas. The period from germination to flowering is 50-65 days. For sowing, seedlings are recommended, which are sown in late March to early April to a depth of 0.5-1 cm, and transplanted to a permanent location after the threat of frost has passed. The plant requires regular watering, weeding, and soil loosening. To increase bushiness, the central shoot can be pinched, which promotes a denser and more compact growth. In cooking, Shuntuk basil is widely used as a spicy herb in fresh and dried forms, thanks to its rich aroma and attractive appearance. The harvest is collected as leaves grow, allowing for fresh spicy leaves throughout the season. The seed weight per package is 140 pieces, with germination around 82%, ensuring good planting capability and high yield.
