Basil LEMON AROMA BASIL

A Zesty Twist on Culinary Basil

The 'Aromat Limona' (Lemon Aroma) basil by Sedek is a standout variety for those looking to expand their herb garden with unique flavor profiles. While most basils lean towards clove or spicy peppery notes, this variety offers a distinct, refreshing citrus finish. Developed by the expert team at Sedek, this cultivar strikes a perfect balance between aesthetic appeal and kitchen utility.

Why Choose 'Aromat Limona'?

• Compact Growth. Reaching a height of 30-40 cm, this plant is perfectly suited for container gardening, windowsill herb kits, and small urban gardens.
• Culinary Versatility. The lemon-scented leaves are ideal for marinating fish, poultry, and adding a subtle, sweet complexity to sauces and fresh garnishes.
• Predictable Development. With a germination period of 10-14 days, gardeners can plan their plantings with high confidence in the crop's timing.

Potential growers should note that this variety has high light requirements. To maintain its compact, lush green form, it needs full sun or dedicated artificial grow lights if kept indoors during winter months. Without sufficient light, the plant may become leggy, which can dilute the intensity of its essential oils and aroma.

This variety is perfect for culinary enthusiasts who enjoy creating signature dishes, homemade lemonades, or decorative herb displays. Its sweet, mild taste makes it accessible even for those who typically find traditional basil too bitter or overpowering.
