VITAMINCHIK PURPLE

Basil Vitaminchik Purple is a mid-season variety with a period from germination to technical maturity of about 60-70 days. The plant is erect, semi-sprawling, and reaches a height of up to 60 cm. The stem is colored in anthocyanin, while the leaves have a rich dark purple hue, oval shape, and medium-toothed edges. The leaves are of medium size, about 6-8 cm long, and possess a strong spicy aroma, making this basil an excellent choice for culinary use.

To grow basil, it is recommended to use well-structured, fertile soils rich in humus. The plant prefers sunny areas with light soil and requires regular watering and fertilizing as needed. The variety is cultivated via seedlings: seeds are sown for seedlings at the end of March – beginning of April, and the seedlings are transplanted into open ground or a greenhouse at the beginning of June. The optimal planting scheme is 30x30 cm, which ensures good bush development.

Basil Vitaminchik Purple is widely used in both fresh and dried forms. Its leaves contain essential oils, vitamin C, and amino acids necessary for heart function. Thanks to its rich aroma and taste, the greens are used as a spice-flavoring additive in salads, various dishes, and for canning. The variety is suitable for cultivation in open ground, as well as in greenhouses or on balconies in home conditions, making it universal and convenient for gardeners.
