SORATNIK

SORATNIK is a mid-early spring barley variety, which is distinguished by its high resistance to adverse environmental conditions. It tolerates early frosts and drought well, which allows the plant to develop intensively at the beginning of the vegetation period and form a strong basis for the future harvest. The vegetation period of the variety is 68-73 days, which ensures timely grain ripening. The plant has medium height - about 59-66 cm, with a sturdy stem, which ensures high resistance to lodging and good tillering.

The grain of the SORATNIK variety is large, the mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 52 grams, while the protein content in the grain reaches up to 12.4%. The extractability of substances is 80-83%, which indicates high grain quality. The ear is pyramidal in shape, loose, with strong anthocyanin pigmentation on the flag leaf auricles. The variety responds well to the application of full mineral fertilizers, microelement top-dressing, and potassium humate, which contributes to increased yield and improved grain quality.

The average yield of the variety in various regions ranges from 15.8 to 55.0-66.7 c/ha, with maximum figures reaching 60.4 c/ha. SORATNIK is susceptible to powdery head smut, so if necessary, it is recommended to use insecticides and other plant protection agents. Thanks to its characteristics, this barley variety is widely used for grain-forage crops, ensuring a stable and quality harvest.
