The Governor spring barley variety is a medium-early grain and fodder barley created in the Orenburg region and recommended for cultivation in the Urals region, including the Orenburg region and the Republic of Bashkortostan. The plant is of medium height, characterized by lodging resistance and high drought tolerance, ensuring stable productivity under contrasting abiotic factors. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 35 to 61 grams, and the protein content in the grain reaches 12.3%, making it valuable for fodder purposes.

The Governor variety is characterized by large grain size and increased grain productivity, maturing 2-3 days later than the standard variety Natalie.
