KOLDUN

KOLDUN is a medium-maturing spring barley variety of brewing direction, characterized by a vegetation period from 74 to 89 days. The average mass of 1000 grains is about 50 g, and the grain natural density reaches 633 g/l. The grain is semi-naked with an indicator of about 7.5%. The variety is distinguished by short stature and high resistance to lodging, which ensures harvest stability and ease of harvesting.

This barley possesses high immunity to powdery mildew due to the presence of an effective allele of the mlo11 gene, as well as resistance to powdery head and drought. Protein content in the grain reaches 11.5%, which makes it particularly valuable for the brewing industry. The variety demonstrates high yield in various regions, confirmed by indicators up to 58.9 c/ha in the Central Black Earth region.
