Agronomic Profile and Market Position

Designed specifically for indoor cultivation, Orion F1 is a mid-early hybrid with a maturation period of 90–100 days from transplanting. Its primary appeal to professional growers lies in the consistency of its yield—a vital factor for maintaining reliable supply chains and meeting retail supermarket standards.

• Fruit characteristics: A classic oval shape that remains highly desirable in fresh markets.
• Weight: Consistent fruit weight ranging between 300 and 400 grams, hitting the market "sweet spot."
• Appearance: A deep, lustrous dark purple skin that maintains its visual appeal throughout the post-harvest supply chain.

By choosing Orion F1, growers leverage the vast R&D experience of De Ruiter Seeds. The hybrid excels in controlled greenhouse environments, utilizing nutrients and space efficiently to produce uniform fruits. Whether you are scaling production or looking to improve the quality of your existing crop, Orion F1 offers the predictable growth patterns and high-quality output required for modern commercial agriculture.
