Regarding climate, it prefers steady temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. It is sensitive to cold drafts and sudden drops in temperature, which can cause significant damage to its delicate fronds and slow down growth considerably.

Lighting should be bright but strictly indirect. Direct sunlight is harmful to this species, leading to scorched leaflets and brown edges. Conversely, extremely low light levels can make the fern look sparse and lose its deep green coloration.

Consistent humidity is the key to successful maintenance. The plant benefits from being grouped with other moisture-loving plants or placed on a tray filled with pebbles and water to boost local humidity levels throughout the year.

Common pests include scale insects and mealybugs, which tend to congregate in the protected areas where fronds meet the stem. Manual removal combined with horticultural oil applications is effective for control.

Fungal issues, such as leaf spot or root rot, often arise from excessive moisture and poor air circulation. Ensuring the pots are not sitting in standing water and improving ventilation are primary preventative measures against these pathogens.
