Rozela

The apple variety Rozela is a winter variety with late ripening, developed at the Institute of Experimental Botany ASCR by crossing the varieties Vanda and Bohemia. The tree is medium-sized, reaching up to 3.5 meters in height, with a dense, round crown. The variety is characterized by early fruiting and stable, high yield, making it suitable for intensive cultivation. Rozela has high cold resistance, drought tolerance, and good immunity to major diseases such as scab and powdery mildew. The fruits of Rozela apple are large, weighing from 190 to 240 grams, with a flat-spherical shape. Their skin is thin, light-yellow with a bright red blush covering almost the entire surface, as well as distinctive lenticels. The flesh is juicy, very aromatic, sweet with a slight acidity, giving the fruits excellent taste qualities. Apples are well transportable and can be stored until March, ensuring their market appearance and long shelf life. For successful cultivation of the Rozela variety, it is recommended to choose sunny areas with fertile, well-drained soils and moderate watering. Due to its characteristics and resistance to adverse conditions, this variety is ideal for intensive horticulture, providing a stable and high-quality yield.
