TYUMENSKAYA 25 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) with a medium-early maturation period and a vegetation period ranging from 72 to 94 days. The plants are medium-height, reaching about 90 cm in height, with shortened and thickened lower internodes, which ensures high resistance to lodging and good preservation of plants during harvesting (94-97%). The ear is pyramidal, loose with medium density, the grain is colored, and the mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 48 grams. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Subtaiga and Northern Forest-steppe lowlands zones of the Tyumen region and has been included in the State Register for the Western Siberia region.
TYUMENSKAYA 25 is distinguished by high yield – in variety trials, the average indicator reaches 4.8 t/ha, and in the cultivation region – about 36.3 c/ha. The grain is characterized by high technological indicators: protein content is 14.0-15.2%, gluten is 30.38%, which ensures good baking qualities with an assessment of 4.6-4.8 points. The variety is included in the list of valuable and in-demand varieties due to the combination of high productivity and grain quality.
The variety has moderate resistance to hard and powdery head smut, as well as powdery mildew and septoria. However, it is susceptible to root rots and brown rust. TYUMENSKAYA 25 also demonstrates drought resistance, which makes it a reliable choice for cultivation in Western Siberia. Due to its characteristics and adaptation to regional conditions, this variety is promising for farmers focused on obtaining high-quality grain with good baking properties.
