Soft spring wheat of the «Altayskaya 325» variety is a medium-maturing variety with a vegetative period ranging from 82 to 90 days. This variety was bred by the Federal Altai Scientific Center of Agrobiotechnology and recommended for cultivation in the Altai Krai, and it has been included in the State Register for the West Siberian and Far Eastern regions. The plant is characterized by a medium straw height of about 90 cm, which possesses strength and a strong waxy coating on the upper internode, contributing to high resistance to lodging. The bush is erect or semi-erect, with a cylindrical ear of medium density and white color. The grain is oval, colored, with a long awn; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 32 to 42 grams. The variety is distinguished by high yield: average figures in the West Siberian region reach 27.3 c/ha, which exceeds the average standard by 3 c/ha, and in the Altai Krai, the addition to the standard of the Altayskaya 50 variety is 4 c/ha. The maximum registered yield reached 53 c/ha in the Tyumen region. The drought resistance of the variety is above average, making it suitable for cultivation in conditions with limited moisture. The baking qualities of the wheat are good, which confirms its value for agricultural production and processing. Regarding diseases, the «Altayskaya 325» variety shows moderate susceptibility to septoria and susceptibility to root rots. At the same time, it is weakly susceptible to powdery scab but strongly susceptible to brown rust and powdery mildew. The protein content in the grain is about 15.7%, and raw gluten is 31.9%, which additionally characterizes the variety as valuable for the baking industry. Overall, «Altayskaya 325» is a reliable and productive variety of soft spring wheat, adapted to the conditions of West Siberia and the Altai Krai.
