Wheat variety Turandot is a medium-maturing, glabrous winter wheat of intensive cultivation type, belonging to the lutescens variety. This variety is characterized by high drought resistance and cold resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions. Plant height reaches 90-100 cm, with a 1000-grain weight of approximately 50-55 grams. Due to its rapid early growth, Turandot is suitable for late sowing and can be successfully grown after late predecessors such as maize and sugar beet. The variety belongs to the strong wheat category 'A', confirmed by its high milling and baking properties. It exhibits high resistance to lodging, allowing the use of moderate growth regulators under intensive cultivation technology. Additionally, Turandot shows high resistance to leaf diseases and increased resistance to Fusarium ear rot, contributing to stable and high yields of 85-92 centners per hectare. Protein content in grain is approximately 11%, and gluten content is 18%, ensuring high-quality flour and bread. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including southern Ukraine, and successfully passes tests for brewing malt production. Sowing rates vary depending on sowing time: early — 3.5 million seeds per hectare, medium — 4 million, late — 4.5 million. Turandot combines high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and excellent grain technological properties.
