Winter wheat Toulouse is a versatile variety of erythrospermum, recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. The vegetation period lasts about 270 days, stem height reaches 90 cm, and spike length is 10.8 cm. The potential yield of this variety can reach 10 tons per hectare, making it attractive to agricultural producers focused on high productivity. Grain has a 1000-grain weight of about 43 g and a test weight of 840 g/l, indicating good raw material quality.
The variety is characterized by high protein content (13-14%) and gluten (about 28%), ensuring excellent baking properties, confirmed by an evaluation of 8.5 points and loaf volume up to 590 ml. Toulouse exhibits resistance to various diseases and pests, including powdery mildew, rust (brown and yellow), septoria leaf blotch, as well as fusarium and stem rust, with resistance ratings ranging from 8.0 to 9.0 points. Additionally, the variety demonstrates high resistance to lodging (8.8 points), drought (9.0 points), and good winter hardiness (7.0-8.0 points), enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions.
Winter wheat Toulouse was registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2014 and is an original variety of the company AF «Sady Ukrainy». The recommended seeding rate is 4.5-5 million seeds per hectare. Due to its combination of high yield, resistance to adverse factors, and excellent technological properties, this variety is widely used in the agricultural sector for producing high-quality wheat products.
